What is Change 2008?

This is 1st-3rd grade camp that will challenge your child to transform to become like Christ.  We live in a great city and will visit many places in the area, such as the River Walk, Incredible Pizza, San Antonio Zoo and a few swimming pools in the area.  We will incorporate these activities into our Bible lessons to help teach the Bible in a relevant way.  Children also get to spend the night in the gym building which is a unique experience for them.

Sunday, June 22 (12 p.m) through Monday, June 23 (8:00 p.m.)

What is the cost of Change 2008? 

§         Early Registration (by May 11):               $40 per child

§         Registration (by May 25):                         $50 per child

§         Late Registration (by June 1):                $65 per child

Your child may also bring spending money for Incredible Pizza and Zoo.

$10 off if your child brings a friend or friends (friend receives discount as well)

 

Why Change 2008?

Over the years I have learned that bigger is not always better.  Change 2008 will have a smaller number of children, and your child will get special attention each day.  We hope that the relationships formed will lead to deeper discussions about Christ.

 

Who is Change 2008 for?

Children going into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. 

 

How can I participate in Change 2008?

§         Become a Sponsor (stay overnight and help us with various activities)   

§         Donate food items. (See list attached.)

§         Help drive us to various activities (church van is gone for the week)

§         Volunteer to help fix breakfast or supper

       

What to bring:

 

§         Bible

§         Note Pad

§         Pen or pencil

§         Clothing (including a some that can get dirty during games)

§         Bedroll (sleeping bag, sheets, pillow, blanket)

§         Towels

§         Washcloths

§         Toiletries

§         Spending money (I would guess $10 would be enough)

§         Camera (optional)

§         Sunscreen

§         Hat

§         Swimsuit

 

 

 

 

 

 

Food Donations Needed:

 

§         Boxes of cereal (large or individual boxes)

§         Fruit

§         Orange juice

§         Snack Type Food

§         Kool Aid Jammers or fruit juice packets

§         2 gallons of ice cream

§         Bread
